Walking Between Streets in the Sky

Collaborative publication with James Lander and Ken Worpole, Lisa Mckenzie, Nayia Yiakoumaki, Geraldine Dening and Simon Elmer of Architects for Social Housing, and Catherin Croft, designed by Bec Worth, 2017
The five housing estates in East London in this publication have in the past or currently face the threat of redevelopment. At the beginning of 2017, James Lander and I invited collaborators for five conversation-led walks between two estates at a time. We looked for input from architecture to activism, from anthropology to art. We made connections between different experiences, perspectives and areas of expertise on social housing in London today. In the publication we mapped each estate through selections from conversation transcripts and photographs accompanied by footnotes.
